AI eBay Listing Generator From Photos: How AiListPro Works (2026)
How an AI eBay listing generator turns your photos into a title, description, item specifics and price check, and why you approve every word before it is live.
Listing is the slow part of selling on eBay. Finding the item is the fun part. Then you have to work out the exact model, type a title that eBay search will match, fill in a dozen item specifics, describe the condition honestly and pick a price. Do that 40 times and your weekend is gone.
AiListPro (some people search for it as "AI List Pro") is the tool we built to do the first draft of that work. This article explains exactly what it does, what it does not do, and what it costs, so you can decide whether it fits your shop.
Who we are
We are AZ Sun Valley Sales, a family reseller in Mesa, Arizona. We buy at auction and sell on eBay and locally, and we went from $0 to about $159k in eBay sales in 10 months. AiListPro is a tool from our small company. It is independent: it uses eBay's official API, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay.
How it works, step by step
1. Snap photos
Upload up to 8 photos of the item: the front, the back, the label or model number, and any flaws. You can add a short note if you know something the photos cannot show, such as "tested, works" or "includes charger and box." It works with your phone's camera right in the browser, or on a computer.
2. The AI writes a full first draft
In seconds you get:
- A title built for eBay search: brand, model and key specs inside eBay's 80-character limit, with a live counter while you edit.
- A description that says what the item is and what is included.
- Item specifics, the name and value pairs (Brand, Model, Color, Capacity and so on) that eBay uses for its search filters. Add, edit or remove any row.
- A condition note written from what the photos show.
The drafts are written by Claude, Anthropic's AI model, from your photos and your note. AI can get details wrong, like a model number or a size, so treat the draft as a first pass from a fast assistant, not a final answer.
3. A price check you can verify
AiListPro looks up comparable eBay listings for sale now and suggests a price, showing the typical price and the range. Next to it is a one-tap link to eBay's sold prices so you can double-check what items like yours actually sold for. When there are not enough comparable listings, you see an AI estimate instead, clearly labelled as one.
An asking price on a live listing is what someone hopes to get. A sold price is what a buyer paid. Use the first as a starting point and the second to decide.
4. You review, check the fee, and publish
Every field is editable. A free Check eBay fees button asks eBay what the insertion fee will be and which category the item lands in, before anything goes live. When you are happy, press Publish and confirm. The listing goes live on your own eBay account with your own shipping, return and payment policies.
Nothing is posted to eBay until you press Publish. Brand-protection cautions are shown up front so you can think twice about items that tend to draw rights-owner complaints.
If anything in the setup trips you up, real-person support comes from the owner, Johnathon Lawson: [email protected].
Your eBay account stays yours
Two questions come up first, so here are straight answers.
Do you need my eBay password?
No. You connect on eBay's own sign-in page (this is called OAuth). We never see your eBay password, and you can revoke AiListPro's access any time in your eBay account settings.
Do I need eBay business policies?
Yes. eBay requires shipping, return and payment policies to list through an app. You set them up once in Seller Hub (Account, then Business policies), and AiListPro uses them on every listing. We never change them.
What it costs, with real numbers
Pricing is per AI-written listing, as of October 2026:
- Starter: $9.99 a month for 30 AI listings (about 33 cents each)
- Pro: $24.99 a month for 100 AI listings (25 cents each)
- Power Seller: $59.99 a month for 300 AI listings (20 cents each)
- Top-up packs that never expire: 10 listings for $4.99, 25 for $9.99, 100 for $29.99. Use them for a busy month on top of a plan, or on their own with no subscription.
The rules on credits are simple:
- Each AI-written draft uses one credit. Rewriting the same item is another draft.
- If the AI cannot write the listing (an error or unreadable photos), no credit is used.
- Publishing to eBay, checking fees and saving drafts are always free.
- You can write a listing yourself in the same form and publish it without using a credit.
- Monthly listings refresh each billing month and do not roll over. Cancel any time.
eBay's own fees are separate and apply the same as if you listed by hand. For most categories that is a final value fee of 13.6% of the total sale (which includes shipping and sales tax) plus $0.40 per order over $10, per eBay's selling fees page, as of October 2026.
Worked example
Say you list a used stand mixer and it sells for $190 with free shipping to a buyer paying 8% sales tax ($205.20 total sale):
- eBay final value fee: 13.6% of $205.20 = $27.91
- Per-order fee: $0.40
- AI listing on the Pro plan: $0.25
The listing tool is a quarter. The eBay fees are about $28.31. The number that decides whether the sale was good is still your cost of goods and your shipping label, which is why we also built AI Flip Ledger for the books.
What AiListPro does not do
Being clear about this saves everyone time:
- It lists to eBay only. It is not a cross-lister for Facebook Marketplace, Mercari or Poshmark.
- It does not publish anything on its own. You press Publish on every listing.
- It does not guarantee a price or a sale. The price is a suggestion from comparable listings, and you set the final number.
- It cannot see what is not in the photo. If the model number is not photographed or typed in your note, the AI has to infer it, and that is where mistakes happen. Our photo guide covers the shots that prevent this.
Where it fits in a reseller's week
Plenty of resellers do not have a sourcing problem. They have a pile: a shelf, a garage corner or a pallet of things that are bought and paid for but not listed. Unlisted inventory is cash sitting still. A tool that makes the first draft fast is worth it only if it gets more of that pile live each week while you still check every listing.
If you want to try it on a few items before committing to a plan, a 10-listing top-up pack is $4.99 and never expires.
Frequently asked questions
Is AiListPro affiliated with eBay?
No. It is an independent tool from AZ Sun Valley Sales LLC that uses eBay's official API to publish to your own account. eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc.
Who writes the listing?
An AI model, Claude by Anthropic, reads your photos and notes and writes a draft. AI can get details wrong, so you review, edit and approve every word before publishing. You are always the seller.
Does a failed draft use a credit?
No. If the AI cannot write the listing because of an error or unreadable photos, no credit is used. Publishing, fee checks and saved drafts are always free.
Can I use it without a monthly plan?
Yes. Top-up packs of 10, 25 or 100 AI listings work on their own, with no subscription, and they never expire.
